I’ve tried making macarons a few times. While they always come out delicious with buttercream frosting, the requisite feet are elusive. I’ll try your method but first I need to get some meringue powder. I think that may just do the trick. Btw, having lived in Paris, I think the French do say “macarons.” It’s just that they nasalize the last syllable and the “o” sounds longer. Thank you for passing on your secret.
